A new app has been created to allow fans to keep up with their favourite local musicians, athletes, and events.

The Easifan app, created by Ted Howell, allows fans to follow their favourite performers while content creators can create posts, manage and promote events.

Users from anywhere in the province can easily use the program to find events near them and purchase tickets.

Howell created the app because he believes there is a gap in promoting local entertainment. While many performers already use social media for self-promotion, he says Easifan has a number of unique features. Unlike social media, there is less interaction and fans do not have the ability to create personal posts or status, but can like and share content from their favourite creators.

The Easifan app is free and now available to download on mobile devices.
