One man was arrested and is facing a number of charges following a bizarre bicycle chase on Kenmount Road that was caught on video and shared on TikTok.

RNC were called to a report of a theft in the area of Kelsey Drive over the lunch hour last Friday. Witnesses at the scene reported that the suspect left the area on a motorized bicycle and was heading down Kenmount Road.

Patrol units located the suspect and attempted to stop him but the motorized bike refused to pull over, instead weaving in and out of mid-day traffic.

The bike turned off Kenmount Road into a parking lot where the police cruisers pulled in front of him. The suspect then ran into one of the cruisers, got off his bike and attempted to run away. He was apprehended by officers without further incident.

The 32-year-old is facing charges of theft, dangerous operation of a vehicle, flight from police, public mischief and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.
