The RCMP have issued an arrest warrant for a Sheshatshiu man wanted for a number of violent crimes.

Twenty-eight-year-old Joseph Gregoire of Sheshatshiu, who RCMP say is actively evading them, is wanted on a number of serious charges including assault, assault with a weapon, assault causing bodily harm, assault with choking, forcible entry into a home, damage to property and failing to comply with a release order.

Gregoire has dark-coloured hair and brown eyes. Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Joseph Gregoire is asked to contact the RCMP at 497-8700 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
