A 39-year-old is facing charges after police found an injured man in the centre city area.

Around 10:20 p.m. yesterday evening, police were called to a disturbance where they found a man with a head injury.

After a brief investigation, police located the suspect and charged him with assault with a weapon causing bodily harm and resisting arrest.

He was held for court.

The victim was treated at the hospital and released.
