A Newfoundlander is swapping sweaters as the NHL trade deadline approaches.
The Vegas Golden Knights have traded Mount Pearl native Zach Dean to the St. Louis Blues for Ivan Barbashev.
Dean was picked 30th overall in the 2021 draft by Vegas, and recently represented Team Canada at the World Juniors. He has spent this season playing in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League for the Gatineau Olympiques.
