Easter Seals has announced its new ambassador for 2023.
Fifteen-year-old Andrew Woodrow of St. John’s succeeds Brandon Bowen.
Woodrow, who has used a wheelchair since the age of 12, was named to the new role during a ceremony at Government House in St. John’s this week..
Woodrow, who has Duchenne muscular dystrophy, has been involved with Easter Seals for the last three years. He has participated in swimming, basketball and boccia, and has enjoyed the Easter Seals overnight summer camp at Burry Heights.
He says Easter Seals has helped him find activities that he enjoys, while making friends, adding he looks forward to the opportunity to be a strong accessibility advocate.
