One of the most gruelling and challenging snowmobile races in the world is kicking off today in Labrador.
The Cain’s Quest race will see more than 30 amateur teams navigate 3,500 km of terrain through remote areas of Labrador in what is described as the world’s longest and toughest snowmobile endurance race.
Racers leave the starting gates at 10:00 a.m.
An awards ceremony and banquet will be held in Lab City on March 11, with the winning team getting a cash prize of $50,000.
