The City of St. John’s has approved the development of its first tiny homes.
The tiny home movement has been popular on the mainland and beyond for a number of years with residents living in a house just a few metres long.
The motion to develop the homes on Leslie Street passed unanimously.
Council is hoping small-scale developments similar to tiny homes can help address issues with population density in the city.
