The MHA for Ferryland district is worried that a crisis is looming as the region grapples with ambulance staffing issues.
Loyola O’Driscoll says there are no staff available for an ambulance currently parked in Cape Broyle. He told VOCM Open Line with Paddy Daly that it’s time for action by Eastern Health before an emergency turns into a tragedy.
He’s getting calls and a Facebook page has been set up calling for action. O’Driscoll laments that some people have just come to accept the situation, “but it’s just not acceptable not to have an ambulance” says O’Driscoll.
