It’s going to be a day of wet snow for many as a weather system moves through central and eastern Newfoundland.
Around 5 – 10 cm of the white stuff is expected on Saturday, with rain coming into the mix around noon.
Environment Canada Meteorologist Rob Carroll says the worst of it will be during the morning and early into the afternoon.
The heavy snow will turn into a lighter snow into the afternoon with some rain or freezing drizzle expected into tonight and Sunday morning.
Carroll says it looks as though Saturday afternoon will be the best time to start the clean-up.
He says the snow will be quite heavy so he recommends tackling the clean-up in chunks throughout the afternoon and into the evening.
