The Port of Argentia has secured what it’s calling its second major contract in support of US offshore wind development.
The two contracts, says Port CEO Scott Penney, solidify the port’s competitive advantage as a monopile marshalling yard for US offshore wind.
He says the port is experiencing unprecedented demand for marshalling support as part of the US energy transition.
Heavy transport vessels will move the monopiles to a bonded storage marshalling yard on the former naval air station at Argentia.
