The inquiry into Innu children in care is holding both private and community meetings this week in Sheshatshiu.
An open house was scheduled to be held today to give people a feel for how the meetings will be set up, and get them more comfortable before they share their experiences, but blizzard conditions have put those plans on hold for the time-being.
The Commission is hopeful that the open house can be held on Tuesday instead with an update coming on the week’s scheduled hearings. Healing services will also be held in the community throughout the week.
