Opposition Leader David Brazil says any budget that doesn’t have layoffs and tax increases is a “good start” but he’s reserved on his response until he sees the details.

He wants to see what’s contained in the estimates and see whether the provisions announced in the budget will result in better access to health care, more nurses in the system, and better ambulance service.

NDP Leader Jim Dinn says the theme Your Health. Our Priority. leads him to believe that government is finally listening to what’s been said for so long.

Whether the measures taken address existing issues, remains to be seen.
