Businesses in downtown St. John’s are encouraging residents to continue supporting the area despite construction set to begin on Monday.
Angela Snow, owner of Wild Things, says all businesses will be open while the city finishes their final phase of their infrastructure upgrade plan on Water Street.
Snow says people should continue to shop, dine, and contribute to the local economy in downtown St. John’s. She says they would love to see people get out and support them while the renovations are ongoing.
Gaylynne Gulliver, a spokesperson for Downtown St. John’s, says it will still be easy to get around.
Gulliver says traffic will only be impacted on the outskirts of downtown and people will still have access to amenities and parking.
