The RCMP say a tip from the public on Sunday lead to the arrest of a 60-year-old man who blew twice the legal limit.

Police in Lewisporte were first notified of a suspected impaired driver around 8:30 Sunday evening.

The man, who they say was heavily intoxicated, has been charged with impaired.

He has been released from custody to appear in court at a later date.

The man’s truck was seized and his license was suspended.
