A local singer-songwriter and music producer who has been sharing his talents all over the world, has developed a program to make it even easier to work with music through an online platform.
Jacob Critch has been producing music for projects and shows all over the world through by connecting with others online.
Critch says he’s always done a bit of work online, but things accelerated when the pandemic hit.
He used his experience working virtually to create a program called SongFlow with his co-founder who is based in Europe.
The program was a runner-up at the Mel Woodward Cup awards. Critch used his experience with music as well as his knowledge as a software student to create the program.
He says there are lots of resources out there to make music online, but they don’t support virtual collaboration. His platform allows songwriters and producers to work together in the same space—similar to a Google Doc. It eliminates the need for sending files back and forth and speeds up the process.
