The provincial government say procurement for a replacement of Her Majesty’s Penitentiary continues.

NAPE, which represents correction officers at HMP, recently issued a report reiterating well known issues at the facility.
The Department of Transportation and Infrastructure says the budget allocation will allow procurement work to continue and an update will be provided once the process is complete.
