The Canadian Coast Guard vessel Terry Fox is conducting icebreaking operations in the Port Anson and Miles Cove Area today.
Residents are asked to stay off the ice as tracks from the vessel can extend over a wide area and poses a risk to public safety.
The Coast Guard asks people not to walk on the ice, approach the vessel or its path, and to remove any equipment from the area until icebreaking operations are completed.
