A 22-year-old Portugal Cove-St. Phillips man is facing numerous charges for online child exploitation.
William Vey was arrested yesterday on a number of offences, with victims based in the United Kingdom and United States.
In April of last year, the RCMP-RNC Integrated Internet Child Exploitation executed a search warrant at a home in the community after a report of online child exploitation activity. A number of electronics were seized from the home for forensic analysis.
Yesterday, police arrested Vey on evidence collected from the analysis and charged him with four counts of child luring, two counts of extortion and one count of accessing child pornography.
He was released on conditions and is set to appear in court May 18.
