Following a complaint from a Pouch Cove resident, the Office of the Privacy Commissioner has made recommendations that the town should release the names of firefighters who responded to a house fire.
The complainant asked the town for records related to a fire at their home, and received an Incident Report and pictures from the fire, however the names and faces of the firefighters were redacted.
The Privacy Commissioners office has ruled that the town did not meet its duty to assist, and has recommended the town to disclose the names of the firefighters, however their faces will remain redacted.
