Team Gushue is leaving the World Men’s Curling Championship with some new hardware.
The Gushue rink won silver, falling 9-3 to Scotland in Sunday’s championship game.
The team now holds three silver and one gold medal in four appearances at the World Championship.
While it wasn’t the outcome they were looking for, skip Brad Gushue was emotional as he took in the support from a packed house in Ottawa.
“Now I’m getting emotional,” Gushue said while fighting back tears, before breaking down when fans began to cheer. He says playing the tournament in his home country has been special and the support has overwhelming.
