Tourism operators and iceberg enthusiasts are looking forward to what appears to be a bumper crop of icebergs heading south along the east coast of Newfoundland in the coming weeks.
Diane Davis, the administrator of the Newfoundland Iceberg reports Facebook page, which has over 50,000 members, says things are looking good.
She recently spent some time in Deep Bay, Fogo Island and could see icebergs from every vantage. She says many are still on the horizon, “but they’re massive, absolutely huge.”
