Temperatures finally breached the double digits across most of the province yesterday.
Environment Canada meteorologist Tiffany Cheeks says while the temperature broke the 10 degree mark in the metro region, the hot spot in the province yesterday was in Labrador.
Port Hope Simpson recorded a high of 16.3. Corner Brook reached 15 degrees, while Grand Falls-Windsor saw 13.5 while St. John’s reached 10.6 and Gander, 10.7.
The sun being experienced in the metro area will come to an end with some rain and possibly snow expected later today, although the snow is not expected to last long and won’t form any accumulations.
