The province’s Eating Disorder Foundation is ramping up fundraising efforts heading into summer.
Executive director Paul Twomey says a number of events are planned, including an awareness night with the Newfoundland Rogues.
A portion of proceeds from select ticket purchases for the April 26 game between the Rogues and the Kokomo Bobcats will be donated to the foundation.
He says tickets must be purchased through a promotional link that can be found online. They will also be selling 50/50 tickets during the game.
Twomey says the foundation’s largest fundraising event is fast approaching.
The annual Hope Always walk is scheduled for Sunday, May 28 at Mundy Pond. He says it’s a huge opportunity to raise money and eating disorder awareness and encourages people to sign up for the annual stroll.
