RCMP have confirmed that the death of a man whose remains were discovered inside a burned-out vehicle near Harbour Grace was the result of a homicide.
Police provided an update on the ongoing investigation at RCMP Headquarters in St. John’s today.
The remains were discovered last Tuesday afternoon after an burned out vehicle was found in a wooded area of Glover Road, and the area was immediately cordoned off.
The cause of the man’s death has not been released.

Police are asking for dash cam footage from anyone who was traveling in the area of the intersection of Glover Road and Veterans Memorial between noon on Sunday, April 9 and noon on Monday, April 10 to contact Harbour Grace RCMP.
No suspects have been identified and no charges have yet been laid.
The investigation continues.
