Two men have been arrested and charged in connection with a fire that destroyed a home on Lance Cove Road on Bell Island last Friday.
Thirty-six-year-old Sheldon Newell and 33-year-old John Noseworthy, both of Bell Island, were arrested after two men who were caught on surveillance footage were identified by police.
The fire broke out shortly after 3:00 a.m. on April 14.
Newell was charged with break and enter and arson, he was remanded to custody pending a court appearance.
Noseworthy, who RCMP say was evading police, was arrested on Wednesday and charged with break and enter, arson, resisting arrest, uttering threats and failing to comply with a release order.
Both men were scheduled to appear in court today.
