Police believe multiple people were involved in the murder of a man in Harbour Grace.
RCMP confirmed in a media availability this afternoon that they have identified multiple suspects and suspect vehicles in connection with the death of 34-year-old Adam Mercer.
Mercer’s remains were found in a burned out vehicle on Tuesday, April 11. A week later police ruled his death a homicide.
Police now believe the murder was carried out by more than one person, and believe there are a number of other individuals outside of the main suspects who are being investigated as an accessory to the crime.
Mercer was believed to have been in the parking lot of the Baccalieu Trail Pharmacy in South River around 3:00 p.m. on Easter Sunday. There were multiple vehicles in the parking lot that at that time, and police are asking the public to come forward if they can identify the drivers of a black Ford F-150, a black Subaru hatchback, or a grey Mazda 3 hatchback.
Police are also looking to identify an individual who was with Mercer on April 9 at around 10:15 a.m. at the Irving gas station in Harbour Grace.
Officers also believe there are a number of witnesses who are yet to come forward.
Anyone with information or video footage of the murder of Adam Mercer, the identity of any of the drivers seen in South River, or the identity of the person who was with Mercer on April 9 is asked to contact RCMP or Crime Stoppers.

RCMP have provided an update into the investigation into a homicide in Harbour Grace.
They have identified the body of a man in a burned-out vehicle near Glover Road as Adam Mercer.
Mercer was last seen in the community on Easter Sunday. His body was discovered 3 days later.

No arrests have been made so far, but police believe multiple people are responsible for the murder.
Corporal Jolene Garland says they are currently searching for a black Ford F150, a black Subaru hatchback and a grey Mazda 3 hatchback.
It is also believed there are multiple witnesses who have yet to come forward with details.
