The staff and residents of Westbury Estates Seniors Living in Southlands celebrated Mother’s Day in fine style on Friday.
Volunteers from Academy Canada’s therapeutic recreation and hairdressing programs did the hair and nails of residents and the ladies then had their pictures taken.
Certified Therapeutic Recreation specialist with Westbury Estates, Stephanie Neville says they wanted to help make their mothers feel special ahead of Mother’s Day.
Photos of the ladies have been taken, followed by a high tea complete with China cups and saucers and fascinators.
Ruth Manning, a resident of Westbury Estates was thrilled with event.
She says they usually have a good time and she credits the staff for that.
Manning will be celebrating Mother’s Day today with a gathering of family and friends.
