A new locally produced horror film is set to bring terror on audiences in Stephenville this evening.
Wicked Fright, a series of short horror films shot and produced by local theatre students and graduates will make its debut at the Arts and Culture Centre.
The large anthology piece will feature a number of storylines with their own horrific backgrounds.
One of the short films, summitted by director Andrew Musgrave, will invite audiences behind the scenes into a nights stay in their hometown.
His first submission is a dark fantasy called ‘A Short Stay in Stephenville’ which follows two guests spending the night in the town and ignore warnings from the hotel management to stay away from reading books in their room.
Director Eric White says it was an opportunity to show the public that thriller films can be created even with limited funds and resources.
The group behind the production say they’re expecting a large crowd to come out to Wicked Fright’s debut tonight at 7:30 p.m. at Stephenville Arts and Culture Centre.
