The Avalon Altitude U14 girls club team from Mount Pearl traveled to the Volleyball Canada Nationals this weekend in Halifax.
They ended up going toe to toe with Ontario 1 in Division 1, Tier 1 National Championship finals. They came within two points of winning gold, losing the final set 15-13.
The team says it’s a historic occasion as it is a top finish for any female team from NL in any age group at Volleyball Canada Nationals.
