The Newfoundland Growlers evened up the Eastern Conference final of the ECHL with a 2-1 OT win over the Florida Everblades at the Mary Brown’s Centre.
Johnny Tychonick played the role of hero, scoring on the powerplay with only 7 seconds left in the first overtime.
Luke Cavallin, goaltender for the Growlers, was the game’s first star.
The two are even now at two games apiece heading into the next game at 4:00 Sunday afternoon.
