Officials have identified some 200 structures in the impact zone affected by the wildfires in Nova Scotia.
As of this morning the fires had doubled in size, and officials are keeping a close eye on the weather and the winds.
Halifax Mayor Mike Savage says he understands that people are anxious to check on their properties, but warns the situation is far too volatile to risk having people enter the impact zone.
Nova Scotia officials are hoping to make a decision tomorrow morning on whether or not some residents may be able to return to their homes.
