Police on the west coast have made a drug bust, making seizures and arrests in Deer Lake and Corner Brook.

With search warrant in hand, the RCMP-RNC Joint Forces West found a taser, $4,000 in cash, cocaine, illicit cannabis an items consistent with drug trafficking from a home on Oakes Road in Corner Brook Monday. Thirty-year-old Alex Payne was arrested faces charges of trafficking and possession of a prohibited weapon.

In a separate incident, JFO West arrested three people after stopping a car in Deer Lake on Friday. Police seized crack cocaine, drug paraphernalia and other items. Thirty-six year-old Shamus Harris, 31-year-old Miranda Patey and 28-year-old Jake Williams, all of Deer Lake, were charged with trafficking in cocaine.
