A 36-year-old man from Felix Cove was arrested and charged after police found him inside a Stephenville bar that he had apparently broken into.

RCMP were called to the Stephenville business around 1:30 a.m. Saturday. An employee, who was closing up at the time, managed to hide away and call police after a masked man forced his way inside.

Police found the accused inside the business and he was arrested without further incident. The employee was not physically harmed.

Bruce Skinner is facing two charges of break and enter, two counts of disguise with intent and theft under $5,000 in connection with that incident and a break-in at another establishment a short time earlier.

He’s scheduled to appear in court June 19.
