Newfoundland and Labrador has recalled one of the four waterbombers it had sent to Nova Scotia.
The number of aircraft in the fleet totals only five but one of them is disabled and will remain so probably for the rest of the year.
The bomber recalled from Nova Scotia has been sent to Labrador to fight forest fires in the area of the Labrador-Quebec border. Labrador has been experiencing a warm, dry spring.
Premier Andrew Furey says the fourth aircraft was sent to Nova Scotia with the proviso that it would be recalled if needed.
