The capital city is seeking public feedback on a new Downtown Neighbourhood Plan.
The city has a series of focus group sessions scheduled with a variety of advisory groups, committees and community groups like the St. John’s Board of Trade, Downtown St. John’s, and Destination St. John’s.
Ward 2 councillor Ophelia Ravencroft says the plan will provide direction to the city about land use and development in the downtown area.
That includes the location and height of buildings, transportation, heritage and housing among other things. She says the plan will give the city a solid framework on which to base future decisions.
A public workshop is scheduled on Wednesday, June 7, at 7 p.m. at the Foran Green Room. Members of the public can also email comments to engage@stjohns.ca.
