There will be some temporary street closures in the centre of St. John’s this morning due to a road race for runners.
The Crown and Anchor Mews Memorial 8-kilometre race is scheduled to begin around 8:00 a.m. this morning, until about 9:30.
That will result in closures along Mundy Pond Road, Ropewalk Lane, and the southeast section of Empire Avenue to the finish line on Lake Avenue at the Quidi Vidi boathouse.
Organizers say they apologize for any inconvenience for drivers.
