The provincial government has contracted Deloitte, to the tune of $149,000, to conduct a review of the operating grant program for childcare centres.

As part of the Canada-Newfoundland and Labrador Canada-wide Early Learning and Childcare Agreement, the province committed to exploring enhancements to the program, which addresses affordability of childcare services.

Results of the review are due back to government by September 30.
