The quest to bring a basketball championship to St. John’s is over for the Newfoundland Rogues.
The Rogues were hammered 135-108 by the Albany Patroons, completing the two game sweep in the Conference Final series.
The injury riddled squad found themselves down five players heading into game two, forcing them to re-sign Kenya Brown to a single game contract in order to have enough players for the game.
The Rogues plan to return to St. John’s in 2024 under the Basketball Super League.
