The provincial government is providing funding to March of Dimes Canada to establish an After-Stroke Program Coordinator in the province.
$105,000 will be provided for the position, which will help improve supports for stroke survivors, their families, and caregivers.
Government describes it as Canada’s most comprehensive stroke recovery program.
The program coordinator will work with survivors on things like a personalized recovery plan, emotional support and education, and access to resources and services.
