Salmon angling season is now open in Terra Nova National Park under strict conditions.

The quota for salmon caught in the Northwest River is set at 100 total fish, in efforts to maintain the river’s once depleted population.

Anyone looking to cast their line in the park is required to have both an Inland Salmon Licence and a National Park Licence.

Provincial Inland Salmon Licences can be purchased at a number of retailers throughout the province while the National Licence is available free of charge at the Parks Canada kiosk near Northwest River.
