Two people are dead as the result of a two vehicle crash on the Veteran’s Memorial Highway yesterday.
Bay Roberts RCMP say the collision between a car and a minivan occurred between Bay Roberts and North River shortly after 11:00 a.m. yesterday morning.
Police say witnesses reported that a car, that crossed over the centre lane, collided head-on with the van.
The 29-year-old driver of the car died at the scene while the 45-year-old driver of the van succumbed in hospital.
The other occupant of the van was taken to hospital for treatment.
The investigation continues.
