More charges were laid this morning in the ongoing investigation into alleged sexual violence against teenage boys in the east end of St. John’s.
Earlier this week, 10 additional charges were laid against 62-year-old Tony Humby, bringing his total to 24.
Then this morning, four more charges were laid against 80-year-old Bruce Escott, with new allegations dating back to 1995.
He now faces a total of 10 charges.
Both are accused of sexual assault, interference and exploitation, invitation to touching, as well as child luring by computer and forcible confinement involving a number of vulnerable youth.
Both remain in custody, with Humby’s trial now set for November.
Escott is due back in court next month to enter pleas to the charges.
