The vessel arrived on the search scene this morning and immediately sent an ROV into the water.
It’s part of a huge international search effort led by the U.S. Coast Guard.
The Titan, a 21-foot submersible owned by OceanGate Expeditions, had five people on board when it was last heard from Sunday morning approximately 1 hour and 45 minutes into its descent to the Titanic wreck site.
The five on board include OceanGate CEO Stockton Rush, French pilot Paul-Henri Nargeolet, U.K. Billionaire and adventurer Hamish Harding, and U.K./Pakistani businessman Shazhada Dawood and his 19-year-old son Suleman.
U.S. Coast Guard officials have called a news conference in Boston for 4:30 p.m. Newfoundland time.
VOCM News will be following the briefing and provide details as they become available.
