Police in Glovertown are investigating after an assault and fire at a home in Dover early Friday morning.
Two men knocked on the door of a home on Fault Drive around 4:30 a.m., assaulted the man who answered while also setting fire to the front porch.
The man was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries while the fire was put out by other residents at the home who were uninjured.
One suspect is described as tall with a slender build and was wearing a white face mask and dark clothing, while the second suspect is described as short with a heavier build.
The two were last seen fleeing the scene in a red or burgundy pick-up truck.
The incident is not believed to be a random act. Anyone with information is asked to contact Glovertown RCMP or Crime Stoppers.
