Government will now fully cover the cost of its medical record program.
The province is eliminating the operational fee for health care providers for their eDOCSNL system to reduce the administrative burden on primary care physicians and help users in the blended capitation model.
The elimination of the fee will allow physician billing to be facilitated through eDOCSNL.
Government had budgeted $5.7 million for the program, which included a $1 million increase from 2022-2023 to fully cover the operating cost.
