A new agreement between PAL Airlines and Air Canada will see increased service between St. John’s International Airport and Halifax.
The new deal will see PAL add up to six Dash 8-400 aircraft into service on behalf of Air Canada for up to five years.
The inaugural Air Canada Express flight flew out on Canada Day.
Vice President of Commercial Operations Atlantic at PAL, Ashlynn Burry, says it is exciting for the airline.
She says the deal is in line with their goal to keep eastern Canada connected.
