The MHA who represents Paradise says it’s great to see government address school needs in surrounding communities—Portugal Cove-St. Philips is getting a new high school—but his district was on the school board’s priority list years ago.
Paul Dinn, the PC MHA for Topsail-Paradise, says there are over 2,500 students enrolled in the elementary schools and intermediate school in the district and an additional 3,300 in intermediate and high schools in neighbouring communities.
He’s calling on government to provide an update as soon as possible on a high school for Paradise.
