Seven people are set to be given the province’s highest honour this fall.
The provincial government has announced the list of people to be invested into the Order of Newfoundland and Labrador, which recognizes people who have demonstrated excellence and achievement in any field that benefits the province and its residents.
Those being honoured are Rick Mercer, Noreen Golfman, Dr. Pat Parfrey, Dr. Noel Melvin, David A. Elms, Jean Claude Roy, and Andrus Votik.
The group will be appointed to the Order by Lieutenant Governor Judy Foote on October 4.
