It’s hot out there with heat warnings covering a large chunk of the island including St. John’s and central Newfoundland.
The advisory spans across Avalon Peninsula North, Bay of Exploits, Bonavista North, Bonavista Peninsula, Clarenville, Gander, Grand Falls-Windsor, and Terra Nova.
Environment Canada expanded the warning zone late yesterday afternoon. Meteorologist Wanda Batten says things will cool down but not until Friday.
It will be hot today and tomorrow but the temperature drops back to the low twenties on Friday.
